Information Technology Specialist

About

Kevin began working with computers when he bought his first Windows for Workgroups 3.11 PC in 1995. After hearing about the internet, he decided to explore this exciting technology. He started out with a SLIP account from a local provider which included a UNIX shell. He spent some time using the command line interface and later got a PPP account and became more and more interested in the computers and the internet. Being a professional welder at the time, computers were just a hobby for Kevin. As years went by, Kevin began building web sites and writing software. Around 2004, he became a volunteer webmaster for his church. Some time later he was asked by the church to take a paid part time position as the network admin and official webmaster. After doing this for a while, Kevin met his soon to be wife, got married, and moved to Europe. He started attending college and acquired an Associate's Degree in Computer Studies with a 3.844 GPA. Also during this time, Kevin worked for almost two years as a contractor Desktop Support Technician for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools - Europe. He traveled through the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium for this employment working at various school locations. The contract was won by a different company, and the new company brought in their own people. Kevin then went to work for DoDDS - Europe as a substitute teacher, registrar, and webmaster. This employment is currently at AFNORTH International School in Brunssum, the Netherlands. Please feel free to contact Kevin.

Kevin also has the following CompTIA certifications:
